4th of July Breakfast Toast
Turn your boring toast into a fun and tasty patriotic flag perfect for celebrating the Fourth of July. All you need is 10 minutes and a few basic ingredients!

Ingredients You’ll Need
- Sliced Bread: Whole-grain, gluten-free, cinnamon raisin, or a piece of homemade bread (like this small no-knead bread) – use any kind you want.
- Creamy Base of Choice: cottage cheese, ricotta, or whipped cream cheese.
- Blueberries
- Sliced Strawberries

How to Make a USA Flag Toast
- Toast the bread.
- Spread it with a layer of your creamy base (we used about ¼ cup ricotta).
- For the stars, arrange the blueberries into three rows in the upper left corner.
- To make the stripes, arrange the strawberry slices in rows. Make the first row at the top of the toast and slightly overlap each slice. If the slices are too long for the last row, cut them in half lengthwise.

Variations
- Use other berries: blackberries and raspberries work great too!
- No red fruit? Spread the toast with strawberry preserves or raspberry jam and use banana slices for the stripes.
- Flavor the base: mix in a splash of vanilla extract or a squeeze of lemon juice before topping the toast.
- Want something sweeter? Drizzle your fruity flag with a little honey. For a super decadent treat, swap the bread for a slice of buttery cinnamon toast!
